Release Notes for Gtk# Win32 Installer for Microsoft .NET Framework SDK 1.1 or higher. By Francisco T. Martinez December 10, 2006 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ New in this Release This release uses GTK+ 2.8.20. Notice that the Gtk# version in use here are 1.0.10 and 2.8.3. We are very pleased to announce the debut of GNOME 2.14 and Gnome# libraries in this release. In an effort to better the integration with Visual Studio .NET 2003 and Visual Studio 2005, we now include respective versions of the VSPrj2make and MonoAddin for both IDEs. GtkSourceView and GtkSourceview# have also been included (Check the samples section for a peek at PEditGtk2 text editor application sample). I have included the Gtk# and Gecko# pkgconfig files once again. There is also a corrected make file for the Browser sample: Makefile.csc.nmake This file should make easier to compile a Gecko#/Glade# app. Programmers may also use it as reference for those not using Visual Studio or just prefer nmake.exe. We have also included the following mono 1.2.1 libraries that are now installed in the Microsoft GAC: * Mono.Cairo.dll * Mono.GetOptions.dll * Mono.Posix.dll * Mono.Security.dll * Novell.Directory.Ldap.dll General Description of the Contents This installation package is a synthesis of the output of the Gtk# Runtime installation for Windows, support files for development, the GTK+ 2.8.20 runtime and development packages. It includes a version of glade-2.exe and gtk-demo.exe as well as documentation and samples. Finally, we are including GNOME 2.14 for Windows and Gnome# support for the first time. Requirements The contents of this distribution should be self contained and have little or no additional dependencies. It has been tested on Windows XP Pro, and Windows 2000 Server. Conflicts with other Similar Installers This installer may conflict with the Gtk# Runtime installer available from Novell Forge. However, no problems have been reported yet.
