8.1. Describing the various loop types available

There are 4 types of loop filesystems to choose from.

The default is "sqfs". The others are "clp", "iso" and "ziso".

"sqfs" and "clp" offer the opportunity to fine tune the block size.

If you are an optimizer, you can also specify a Sort file for extra fine tuning.

The defaults are sufficient in most situations.

8.2. Using an existing loop file

If you have an existing loop file on disk, you can specify it.

This will shorten the creation time of the live CD.

Warning

Remember that certain settings are embedded into the loop file. If you select an existing loop file, it will cancel out any changes to these settings. This does not affect any of the ISO settings itself.

8.3. Extra files and directories

Should you want to add files or directories under the root of the ISO, specify them here.

When you select a directory, all the files and directories below the directory will be included, but not the directory itself.

Tip

This feature can be used to add an "auto run" program which will pop up something if the disk is inserted into a Windows machine.
