2. Getting Started
It is assumed that the reader has a reasonable knowledge of GNU Linux.
We will set up a "sample" machine. This machine will share parts of its file system with the machines running the hybrid live CDs.
It will also be used to create the ISO for the hybrid live CDs.
The following is required before you start:
You need a standard Mandriva 2006 install on a reasonable fast machine. (can be a server, but this is really no requirement)
Install all the programs that you require.
You may want to customize the distribution by changing the splash screens, wallpapers etc. giving it a personal touch.
Go here: LiveCD_Druid Home Page, download and install the latest version of LiveCD_Druid.
You may find the "required_rpms" tarball handy in resolving dependencies
